Post War Luftwaffe Gravity Knife-This is post war, but still an incredibly made 2^nd model gravity knife. The nicely grained wooden grip is free of cracks and damage and has a very nice tone. The fittings on this example are dark, which complements the wood nicely. The blade locking mechanism works as it should, it is also a nice blued steel. The finish on the fittings is 99% intact. There is one small ding to the fitting on the reverse. The blade locks in nice and tight. The blade is excellent and has a nice “wartime” SMF Knight logo with the correct rostfrei nomenclature, correct for being post war made. The spike is in place, but this is not marked at all (as it should because it is post war). This is a fun collectible in excellent condition. My write up will clearly indicate that it is post war.
