WWII German Luftwaffe Officer Breeches-This is a private purchase set produced in a high quality, blue grey ribbed wool. There are a few old repairs, areas of wear, a few small stains and of course, two large slits in the lower legs that someone opened up for installation onto a mannequin is my guess. The lower legs have both buttons and tie closures. There are slash type hip pockets, a watch fob pocket and a single rear pocket which does button but the button is missing. There is a four button fly with a metal hook and loop closure at the waist. There are cinch straps at the hips. The interior has off white cotton pocket bags and reinforcements. There is a nice tailor tag inside which indicates that these were produced by Oswald Max Michaels of Dresden. The waist is a size 28 and the length is 35”. A good set, just sew up those lower seams!
