The Martin Standard Series 00-28 is one of Martin Guitar's most beloved acoustic instruments. Made proudly in Nazareth, PA, this orchestra style six string is ideal for a multitude of musical applications. Its size and tonal quality have made the 00-28 a favorite among fingerstyle, folk, and pop players alike.
Pronounced "Double O Twenty Eight" this guitar is crafted to the highest regards by Martin expert luthiers. The body of the 00-28 is comprised of an X-braced Spruce top with Bold Herringbone inlay and multi-stripe rosette, East Indian Rosewood back and sides with multi-stripe inlay. Its neck is Dovetail joined to the body at the 14th fret and features an ebony fingerboard with abalone inlays in Martin's Diamonds and Squares Long Pattern style.
As part of the Standard Series, it features new appointments introduced by Martin throughout the line in 2018, complementing the 00-28 extensively. Key features here include an Aging Toner top finish and Modified Low Oval neck profile with High Performance Taper. In short, the Standard Series 00-28 exudes excellence in playability and vintage-inspired allure.
Other components of the Martin Standard Series 00-28 include a bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge, Grover open back tuners, and a Martin Molded Hardshell case. Electronics are optional.
