Pascal Marchand is een kleine producent met een grote naam. De Canadese dichter trok op zijn 21e richting de Bourgogne waar hij in 1985 wijnmaker was bij Domaine du Comte Armand, Clos des Epeneaux. Hier raakte hij overtuigd van een puur biologische werkwijze, eerlijk voor het land en de druiven. Daarna werd hij in 1999 verantwoordelijk voor het nieuwe Domaine de la Vougeraie in de Bourgogne. Ook hier introduceerde hij de biologische werkwijze. Na wat omzwervingen en consulting klussen, werd in 2006 een eerste stap gezet naar een eigen bedrijf. Enige jaren later (2010) vond hij financiële steun bij de Canadese bankier Moray Tawse, die tevens enige wijngaarden en het domein Maume (Gevrey) aankocht. Naast de 8 ha eigen wijngaarden die biodynamisch bewerkt worden, worden ook biologische druiven van derden gekocht.

In 2018 is de documentary ‘Grand Cru’ over hem opgenomen, absoluut een aanrader.

In de wijngaard: De wijnstokken staan ​​voornamelijk op bruine kalksteenbodems
afgewisseld met mergel, klei en kalksteen, gelegen op het zuidoosten. 
In de kelder: Druiven voor 100% volledig ontsteelt en direct geperst. Alcoholische- en malolactische fermentatie zonder toevoeging van sulfiet. Fermentatie sur-lies zonder batonnage. 14 maanden rijping op franse, eikenhouten vaten waarvan 20% nieuw hout. Soutirage voor het bottelen. Licht gefilterd.
