A beautifully symbolic Egyptian Revival brooch from 1900, featuring a carved, dyed turquoise scarab flanked by two wadjet serpents, set over a stylized lotus flower. The scarab is finely preserved, set in solid 14k bloomed gold, and weighs 6.91 grams. The pin catch is a later replacement.
In ancient Egyptian culture, scarabs symbolized rebirth, protection, and the eternal cycle of life, and these motifs were eagerly revived during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when Egyptology captivated the public imagination. The turquoise scarab, with its deep symbolism, takes center stage in this remarkable piece, enhanced by the presence of the serpents and lotus, which together evoke powerful themes of life, renewal, and divine protection.
The carved details of the scarab contrast beautifully with the warm gold setting, and the turquoise hue provides a striking visual effect. Measuring approximately 1 inch by 0.8 inches and with a substantial yet wearable weight of 6.91 grams, this brooch makes an excellent addition to both a jewelry collection and a historical one.
The gold has been professionally verified through XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and confirmed by traditional acid testing, authenticating its 14k composition. In great antique condition, this brooch is a stunning example of turn-of-the-century Egyptian Revival jewelry, perfect for those who appreciate symbolic motifs, expert goldwork, and timeless historical design.

Great idea poor construction
Color: Large size (7.9"), Color: Large size (7.9")
Great for a dog that likes tug and fetch but the seams are not strong so it ripped fast not from tug but my dogs teeth. I sewed it once since we loved playing with it but it didnt last. Other seams opened. The seams opened in the ball part not by the handles. Less seams and stronger ones would make it 5 star. Im trying a different brand.

Keeps her busy!
Color: Medium size (5.9")
Our Molly loves this. Only thing is that it is a little too big for our Maltipoo, but she still tries to keep up with it.

So far my dog hasn’t destroyed it! And it’s been a month. So I call that a win. Plus he loves it.
