The crab motif is mounted on its original gold filled pin stem, consistent with period construction. The pin head measures approximately 0.5 inches by 0.4 inches wide, with the entire pin measuring 2.55 inches long and a total weight of 1.48 grams, offering a refined yet noticeable presence suitable for lapels, cravats, or collection display.
The gold has been professionally evaluated using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and confirmed with traditional jeweler’s acid testing, authenticating the 14k gold crab and gold filled pin.
