artist biography
Tore Lennart Nyberg was born in Stockholm on 28th September 1911. He was Swedish artist and designer.

He was the son of the xylographer and artist Henning Nyberg and grandson of Christian Jansson, chief executive of the Stockholm Opera. It was thus no coincidence that it was just the world of the arts that attracted him. Nyberg attended the Konstfack (University College of Arts, Crafts and Design) in Stockholm between 1926 and 1930, at the Konsthögskolan (Royal Institute of Art) in Stockholm 1930 and 1931, and also Henrik Blombergs Målarskola (Henrik Blomberg's Painting School) in Stockholm. Nyberg lived all his life in Stockholm, initially at Villagatan 13. Eventually, he settled in the fields surrounding the Observatorielund where he lived with the artist and wife Birgit Forssel (1909-2003).

The Swedish art scene in the 20th century was an intense and exciting time, shaped by the various art movements that emerged in the century and characterised by strong influences from both France and Germany. From his formative years he formed close relationships with the others young Swedish modernist artists including Olle Bonnier, Eve Eriksson, Lage Lindell, Lennart Rodhe and Gösta Viberg - all of who he exhibited alongside during his career. As a young man, he painted expressive portraits of friends, family and people he met. In the mid-1950s, the foundation was laid for Nyberg's artistry, and from then he worked with completely non-figurative motifs with geometric shapes, works that have come to characterise and distinguish his body of work. He exhibited extensively throughout his career. Select exhibitions include 'De Ungas' Salon, Stockholm in 1944, Lilla Galleriet, Stockholm in 1948 and Borås konsthall in 1947, at the Art Society of Sweden from 1938, the annual 'Unga Tecknare' exhibition at National Museum in Stockholm between 1938 and 1942, and the Stockholmssalongerna (Stockholm Salons) at Liljevalchs Konsthall from between 1958 to 1960.

Examples of works held in collection of Värmland Museum in Karlstad.

Nyberg passed away aged in 1993 in Stockholm at the age of 81.

Okay overall.
Size: 15"-15.5" Neck 32"-33" Sleeve, Color: Pink, Size: 15"-15.5" Neck 32"-33" Sleeve, Color: Pink
It's an okay shirt with some issues. For one, it runs pretty big. Glad I got a medium as it fits me like a large which is my usual size. As for the sleeves, I have pretty average length arms so the 32-33" fits me perfectly just like on the model in the images. Second issue is the shirt came packaged with a bunch of needle pins that left some small holes/marks in the front and back bottom of the shirt. They're not super noticeable unless you know they are there. Lastly, the color in the image is duller than in person. In natural lighting it's a more vibrant pink. Comes pretty wrinkly out of the package. Needs ironing or wrinkle releaser. One thing that would make it better is if it had a pocket, but I only really intend to layer it under a jacket so I'm not worried about it.

Great dress shirt for the price
Size: 16"-16.5" Neck 32"-33" Sleeve, Color: Raspberry
This fits and is shaped as described, for a normal dress shirt. This is not designed for looking like a hipster. If you want something "skinny" you will have to look elsewhere. It is excellent quality stitching and the fabric is a sturdy material mostly from cotton. You can't beat it for the price.

Great quality and color
Size: XX-Large, Color: Port Red
My favorite shirt in all honesty. I recently had the need to buy a few shirts and this one fits great, and the material is thick but breathable. The colors are great and the quality is always primo from Van Heusen.
