The carefully articulated legs and balanced composition give the piece a distinctive sculptural presence, reflecting the playful naturalistic motifs favored in early 20th-century jewelry. It has since been thoughtfully converted into a pendant, allowing it to be worn and enjoyed in a contemporary way while retaining its period character.
The pendant measures 1.5 inches from the top of the jump ring to the bottom and 1.1 inches wide, with a weight of 4.4 grams, creating a noticeable yet elegant statement when worn.
Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 9K gold construction.
It is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and goldwork well preserved. A distinctive and collectible example of early 20th-century figural jewelry.
