After two albums, Weke music for piano & string and Eclectic Inside, primarily dedicated to compositions for piano and string orchestra, At times it is aims to return to a creative process that, through the jazz trio (piano, electric bass and drums), viola and voice, seeks the essentiality of form and style without renouncing the distinctive features that have always characterized my compositional style, namely the desire to tell stories within the crossover style. The compositions, though differing in style, pathos and form, will always be characterized by a solid formal structure linked to chamber jazz influenced by pop, funky, Latin, and some rhythmic and melodic stylistic elements typical of Arab culture. I have always been convinced that what unites the music of our time, particularly jazz, and the music of the past, particularly Baroque music, is that in both genres it is possible to play also "what is not written". From this arose the need to pay homage "in my own way" to two composers of the past who are at the same time very modern, J. S. Bach and Girolamo Frescobaldi, who have strongly influenced my musical education. Finally, a thank you to my companions on this adventure who shared "my idea of making music."

Vincenzo Cipriani, born in Bad Canstatt (Germany) on October 12, 1969, pianist, organist and composer, is a professor at the E.R. Duni Conservatory in Matera, teaching jazz harmony, contemporary music rhythmics, and ear training. He has released two CDs of his original compositions, Weke music for piano & string (Velut Luna, 2010), Eclectic Inside (Farelive, 2018). He has held international tours in China, Hong Kong, Lithuania, Belgium, Brazil, Thailand, Turkey, Egypt, Romania, El Salvador, Germany and France. He has performed his compositions in theatrical readings, collaborating with various actors including Giancarlo Giannini, Michele Mirabella, and Silvia D’Amico.
