When I proposed the idea of this album to Oscar del Barba and Stefano Bortolussi, I knew I was dealing with a composer of rare refinement and creativity on the one hand, and a poet for whom the musicality of verse is an essential element on the other. In short, I knew that in them I would have two companions in adventure perfectly in tune with what I had in mind: something new and at the same time a return to origins. Stefano and I collected, in addition to three of his original contributions in English, the texts of some of the best Italian poets and writers of recent years, for whom I wanted to act as a kind of inspiring muse, asking them to elaborate verses on the great themes of love, desire, distance, memory, and participating in turn with insights, variations and suggestions.
We shaped and polished the words entrusted to us, in which figures I am very fond of, such as water and travel, recur. Subsequently, we entrusted the texts to the skilled hands of Oscar, who set them to music and orchestrated them for string quartet, chiseling the notes on the verses with wisdom and profound inspiration.
But above all, I experimented, sang, and interpreted following an idea of a song that detached itself and took flight from conventions; and Stefano and Oscar listened and suggested with open minds. The result, we are convinced, is for once faithful to the initial intent: to re-establish the relationship between song and poetry, too often sacrificed today on the false altars of easy rhymes and catchiness.

An ideal travel companion is the Echos Quartet, a young group, full of enthusiasm, talent, and passion, and curious about crossover projects.
A constant guarantee is the great mastery of Marco Lincetto behind the control desk and his valuable contribution as a record producer.
This, then, is our idea of free song. Or perhaps it would be better to say "one of our ideas", as I have a feeling many more will follow.

Great chopping board and very stylish, look great with modern home
Very stylish and looks really lovely on the kitchen island. Been using it for over 3 months. only little complain I had is that I wish they do a better job cleaning up the back of the board, there are some wood spike that aren't fully smooth out.

low quality; not as advertised
Low quality. The wood has an unpleasant smell, even after initial washing and thorough drying followed by extensive seasoning. Several of the surfaces of the boards were rough. One board was gouged on the bottom (I typically use both sides of the cutting board). Another board had a small amount of wood filler on the bottom. I was forced to sand most of the surfaces in order to smooth them before I seasoned them. There are gaps in the stand where boards join that are not filled. The boards are purported to be pre-oiled, but I didn't see any evidence of that. The "detachable non-slip rubber feet" are not attached and are a little too hard to be "non-slip". If you want to attach the feet then you are on your own - there are no pilot holes and the screws are not self-tapping. The screws have a conical, tapered head and so they do not match well to the feet - a washer-head screw would be the correct type of fit. Lastly, I don't know my wood types that well, but furniture and cutting board acacia is said to be significantly harder than oak. These cutting boards do not strike me as being as hard as my old oak cutting board.

Good but need to oil after use
These are sturdy and attractive, but you need to oil these down every now and again as the surface will splinter a little.
