This setup is Libec's workhorse 75mm bowl aluminum tripod system. It is designed as a highly durable, cost-effective solution for small-to-mid-sized news gathering teams, independent documentarians, and studio environments handling fully rigged mirrorless systems or handheld ENG cameras weighing up to a maximum payload of 8.0 kg (17.5 lbs).

Core Component Breakdown & Performance Engineering

1. The Foundation: LX7 Fluid Head

  • Fixed Ultimate Counterbalance: To streamline fast paces in the field, the LX7 features a fixed, finely tuned internal spring balance setup. It works best with camera packages weighing between 4.0 kg and 6.0 kg, keeping them balanced without drooping or snapping upward during operation.

  • True Fluid Drag Uniformity: The head features a high-grade mechanical fluid drag cartridge system. While it utilizes a fixed drag setting, the dampening is optimized to ensure silky pan and tilt tracking with zero play or backlash at the start or stop of your camera moves.

  • Extreme Weather Performance: The structural silicone fluid grease behaves uniformly across an operating window ranging from negative 20 degrees Celsius to positive 60 degrees Celsius (negative 4 degrees Fahrenheit to positive 140 degrees Fahrenheit).

2. Rigidity & Spreader Architecture: Aluminum Legs & BR-2B Mid-Level Spreader

  • Double-Profile Upper Legs: The legs feature a dual-tube upper section profile constructed from high-strength aluminum alloy. This double-strut configuration provides high torsional rigidity, ensuring that when you pan rapidly, the legs do not experience structural twisting that ruins the end of the take.

  • BR-2B Spreader + FP-2B Rubber Foot Pads: The modular mid-level spreader allows you to safely set up on highly uneven terrain such as stairs, boulders, or steep slopes where a ground spreader would collapse. The system includes oversized rubber feet that slide over the integrated lower leg spikes to secure traction on smooth studio linoleum or polished floors.

3. Transport & Rapid Balancing Systems

  • Slide Plate Range: The system uses a standard sliding plate mechanism with a travel range of plus or minus 40mm (plus or minus 1.57 inches), making it simple to counteract front-heavy telephoto lenses or rear-heavy battery plates.

  • TC-70 Travel Case: The package comes complete with a high-durability padded carrying bag designed with integrated handles and shoulder straps to shield the aluminum and fluid components during transit.

Operational System Tips for the LX7 M:

💡 The Fixed Drag Muscle Tip: Because the drag on the LX7 head is fixed rather than variable, you can adjust your panning resistance by utilizing your physical leverage. If you find your quick panning moves feel a bit too heavily damped, extend your pan bar out further or apply smooth, steady palm pressure to the rear of the head instead of relying entirely on a tight finger grip on the handle.

  • The Bubble Level LED: The LX7 head features an integrated bubble level right next to the bowl clamp. When setting up in low-light environments or dark event venues, remember that the level glass is designed to gather ambient light, allowing you to level your 75mm ball base quickly without needing an external flashlight.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
