Libec Extendable pan handle for LX5 Head and LX7 HeadThe official replacement fixed pan handle for the Libec LX5 and LX7 fluid heads is the Libec PH 5B. The official replacement fixed pan handle for the Libec LX5 and LX7 fluid heads is the Libec PH-5B.

However, if you are looking for an extendable/telescopic pan handle, Libec does not make a factory-authorized extendable pan handle specifically for the LX5 or LX7 heads.

The official upgrade models (like the PH-6B or PH-8B) are engineered with completely different rosette diameters and tooth counts meant for heavier fluid head lines, making them mechanically incompatible with the LX5 and LX7.

Your Best Options If You Need an Extendable Grip:

1. The Factory Route: Stick with the Standard PH-5B

If you simply need a replacement or want to add a second handle to the opposite side for a dual-bar setup, the standard PH-5B is the exact matching part number. It features a fixed length of 33.5 cm (13.2") and utilizes the smaller 75mm-class rosette profile specific to the LX5, LX7, and original NX series.

2. The Third-Party Solution: Universal Rosette Extension Bars

If your workflow absolutely requires a longer handle—such as executing ultra-slow pans at a tight focal length or positioning a remote zoom demand closer to your grip—the most effective workaround is utilizing a third-party standard rosette extension arm.

  • Brands like SmallRig, Tilta, or Shape manufacture lightweight ARRI-style Standard Rosette Extensions.

  • You can mount a small rosette extension arm directly between the side of your LX head and your PH-5B handle. This bridges the gap, allowing you to extend the physical reach and leverage of your factory handle by up to 4 to 8 inches.

Technical Specifications: Standard Libec PH-5B

Parameter Libec PH-5B Factory Specifications
Official Catalog SKU PH-5B
Physical Length Profile 33.5 cm / 13.2 inches (Fixed length, non-telescopic)
Orientation Mode Reversible (Can be rotated to mount on either Right or Left side rosettes)
Primary Material High-Strength Structural Aluminum
Grip Type Non-slip Ribbed Rubber Studio Grip
Native Head Compatibility LX5, LX5M, LX7, LX7M (Also fits NX-100 and NX-300 lines)

💡 Dual Handle Application Tip: While you cannot extend the length of the handle, you can effortlessly transform your LX5 or LX7 into a two-handed studio setup. Because the PH-5B is universally reversible, purchasing a second standard PH-5B allows you to mount it directly to the left rosette. Just flip the arm downward before tightening the clamp knob to give yourself a symmetrical dual-handle setup for attaching zoom rockers or focus demands.

Perfect book!
Format: Hardcover
Great book! I used it for a co-op lesson about the flag and kids ages 5-11 enjoyed it. Good history, I liked that they cover the proper ways to respect a flag at the end.

“Our Flag,” is a great find from Little Golden Books, but unfortunately not the LIttle Golden Books of today.

Sweet book
Format: Hardcover
This is my 21 month old daughter's current favorite book! Richard Scarry's illustrations are so delightful and I like the content of this book teaching important concepts of good manners. We now refer back to this book often and make up new concepts like "The Polite Elephant knows we use our inside voices inside!" I sort of wish the book emphasized some different things, like apologies, asking permission, tidying up etc but it's a great starting place. Some other reviews mentioned the manners in this book are obsolete but other than "tipping one's hat" I don't really agree that that's the case.

4 Great Grandson’s loved it
Format: Hardcover
In covering the topic of manners my granddaughter said her boys especially loved this one. The 4 boys are aged 3 to 11 and my granddaughter is trying to civilize them. (Or, in other words, teach them to be gentlemen). Books by Richard Scarry are always a big hit and this one was helpful.
