Aged 82 at the time this live recording was made at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in London in 2010, the legendary improvising saxophonist Lee Konitz continues to break new ground with the quartet's co-leaders, bassist Michael Janisch, pianist Dan Tepfer and drummer Jeff Williams.Over the decades Konitz has deepened and pushed further his highly original way of improvising. The repertoire on 'First Meeting' is ostensibly of well known standards, familiar to the players, but they merely serve as a jumping-off point for the quartet to head off in any direction. Without rehearsal, plan or preconceived idea of the music's end result, the whole context is one of spontaneity and immediacy.The music on this album is extracted from six hours of music recorded over two nights. Under Konitz's instruction, anyone could start playing a melody and the rest of the band could join in, or not. As a result, 'First Meeting' features some stellar solo intros alongside duo, trio and, of course, full quartet performances. This first volume also captures the more concise statements that were recorded, where tunes were started and finished. Not using these syrups in coffee or drinks, just on muffins, breadsticks and ice cream. Here are the individual reviews from best to worst:
-Caramel: almost perfect creamy pure caramel taste. Only flaw is I wish it were thicker. 9/10.
-Dark Chocolate: has that classic slightly bittersweet dark countenance. You can almost taste a pleasant burnt cocoa bean flavor. Only flaw is that it is a bit too thick. 8/10.
-Chocolate Caramel: not a perfect 50/50 blend, tastes more like a 70/30 blend in favor of caramel. Consistency is perfect, just the right thickness. 7/10.
-White Chocolate: doesn't taste like WC whatsoever. It tastes like sickly sweet birthday cake icing in liquid form. Worst of all it is runny with no thcikness. 4/10.

I love it!

This thing works great! It holds a charge for a long time. I love that it has different attachments. I use it mainly for mixing powder into my drinks. It is very powerful. The speed is adjustable too. It feels good to hold too. It lights up when you squeeze the trigger and when it starts losing charge, the light bar gets shorter. I highly recommend it.

Perfect all-around frother, stand keeps it nice and neat on the counter within easy reach.

Rechargeable, lightweight, variable speeds and optional whisks all make this the perfect item for your kitchen. You can quickly froth milk for your coffees, whip a small batch of whip cream, and even make mug cakes with the hook attachment. The price is very compatible with the competitors, but the ease of use makes this a top choice.
The variable speeds makes it much better to control than the push button ones. When you let go of the pressure switch it turns off, no need for a dedicated on-off switch. Having the pressure switch on the top makes it extremely easy to use! It fits very comfortably in the hand and with the metal stand, looks quite nice on the counter, ready to use at any time. I highly recommend this InstaWhisk!

Great product from a great company

This product works very well. There are several other whips to use also. I absolutely love the cream it makes and that is important so I can enjoy my morning coffee. I used this whisk for quite a while then all of a sudden it stopped working. I wrote to the company to explain. A few days later they sent me a beans new whisk. GREAT item and great company to work with.
