And that's where the second album by insurrectionary heavy rock trio Vodun, comes in. 10 slabs of ground-flattening, groove-inflected rock power, driven by the afro-inspired dervish drums of Zel Kaute (interpreting the spirits of Ogoun), the roar- ing, fierce chromium guitars of Linz Hamilton (The Marassa), and fronted by the fire-breathing howl of frontwoman Chantal Brown (Oya), delivering you the truth of generations with a drive and focus that can't be matched. It builds upon the foundations laid down by their 2016 debut, Possession. "On Possession, we'd just written our first bunch of songs as a band and wanted to make a record" says Chantal. "We recorded our first album at leisure when all the songs were ready. We knew that we couldn't leave too much time for putting out a second album, so there was more pressure with album number two. Our new guitarist Linz (The Marassa) has definitely helped us out in terms of filling out our sonic attack and helped bring more blazing thrash sections & thicker riffs. Zel (Ogoun) spent hours crafting the drum parts and researching the different tribes and regions each beat comes from, and obsessively listening to Afrobeat records to pull out anything from a rhythm to a horn phrasing for inspiration. Everything was more thought out for this second album and meticulously crafted - we even gave ourselves more time in the studio! 5 days rather than the 3 we had for Possession." Their palette now embraces a healthy dose of extra percussion, saxophone, and vocal arrangements that pair Chantal's holler with harmonies, chants and howls, a full-spectrum of sound that suits their polymorphous attack.SIDE 1 1. LFA is now the Project Manager's Super-Power!

This books is not just for PMs, it is also for people in operations that are facing the challenge of aligning the output of their day-to-day activities and multiple projects with the bigger picture of their enterprise.
Personally, what I liked the most (and which it has been very helpful) is the visualization and alignment of the strategy with the operational side of the business: Logical Framework Approach (LFA) -- I call LFA my hidden super-power!
Strategy is an abstract concept and often difficult to communicate to those responsible for the execution of the projects. Terry made this task very simple by addressing the most important aspect of any project: What are we trying to accomplish and Why?

Enlightening and practical
Format: Hardcover
(Review by Scott Miller) I met the author at the PMI Global Summit 2022 and became intrigued with his background and approach. In buying the book, I found it enlightening and practical, for both my work and myself. This is an easy read and is structured in a way to allow me to easily refer to and use the tools it highlights. Best PM book out there!
Format: Hardcover
This is the best project management book I have found. Clear, concise, provides visuals, online material, he gives you a variety of examples, goes as far as to tell you how to utilize the PM skills to better your personal life, AND when I sent him an email, he called me and we chatted. All you have to do is implement what he provides into your life. Very grateful to have found this book and it’s author.

Not Strategic or Practical

This book would be helpful to office managers who are overseeing small self-managed projects. There is heavy emphasis on people management and almost none on any practical project management techniques.
It gave me flashbacks of a couple of project managers I've worked with who were completely useless and left the team to pick up their slack; the kind that talk endlessly without saying anything meaningful and struggle with the basics, like scheduling a meeting. I'm giving it 2 stars because it takes quite a bit of time and effort to publish a book.
