It consists of two layers of aluminum, masterfully shaped and folded alternating curves and linear shapes. The choice of aluminum as a primary material, highly resistant and recyclable, demonstrates its innovative and avant-garde style. Afra Bianchin (1937-2011) and Tobia Scarpa (1935) began their long collaboration in 1957. Starting in 1960, they collaborated with companies such as Gavina, B&B Italia and Cassina. Innovators and unconventional thinkers, they have developed numerous projects discovering new ways of mixing different materials and shapes. Their pieces are exhibited in many museums around the world, such as the MOMA in New York and the Musée du Louvre in Paris. Our Atelier A has carefully restored the chairs.
