Mit seinen sachlich schönen Aufnahmen von Watt- und Dünenlandschaften hat Alfred Ehrhardt, 1928/29 Student am Bauhaus Dessau, viele Betrachter in seinen Bann gezogen und wurde so zu einem der erfolgreichsten Fotografen der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts. Seine Schwarzweißbilder sind im weitesten Sinne Naturaufnahmen. Dabei ist sein Blick - der Fotografie von Alfred Renger-Patzsch und Karl Blossfeldt verwandt - mit strenger Präzision auf die abstrakten Strukturen und Materialeigenschaften der Dinge gerichtet. Neben den berühmten Serien »Das Watt« und »Kuhrische Nehrung« und Aufnahmen von Kristallen, Muscheln und Schnecken versammelt der Fotoband weniger bekannte Bilder von Korallen, Schwämmen, mikroskopischen Vergrößerungen sowie nordischen Landschaften, darunter die seiner ersten Island-Expedition von 1938. Teilweise bisher unveröffentlichte Architektur-, Industrie- und Skulpturfotografien sind ebenfalls enthalten. Mit fundierten Texten zu den vielfältigen Begabungen Ehrhardts, zu seinen Filmen, Fotobüchern, Gemälden und Zeichnungen, liegt damit eine erste umfassendere Darstellung zu Leben und Werk dieses bedeutenden Vertreters der Neuen Sachlichkeit vor. Zum Fotografen: Alfred Ehrhardt (Triptis, Thüringen 1901-1984 Hamburg). Arbeit als Fotograf, Komponist, Musiker, Kunstpädagoge, Maler und Filmproduzent. 1928/29 Studium am Bauhaus Dessau bei Josef Albers, Oskar Schlemmer und Wassily Kandinsky. 1930 richtet er den ersten Vorkurs für Materialkunde an der Hamburger Landeskunstschule außerhalb des Bauhauses ein. 1933 beendet das Berufsverbot durch die Nationalsozialisten die künstlerische Entwicklung Ehrhardts in der Malerei, er wendet sich der Fotografie zu. Nach 1945 werden seine mehr als 50 Kulturfilme mit vier Bundesfilmpreisen und weiteren internationalen Preisen ausgezeichnet. The stainless steel caddy quality is fine, the sticker was easy to install on the inside of my stainless steel sink. I initially used the small movable arm to hang on the hooks, and it did not keep the caddy in place. Anytime it was hit, it fell off or tilted off the hooks. Customer service followed up with me on my purchase, gave me the correct instructions with a picture, and I was able to snap the caddy into the hooks. They were responsive, listened to my concerns and answered my questions, and now it works great. I would recommend this.

Negative reviews are misleading it definitely works just fine.

Noticed the only negative reviews were because the hooks would not fit and was sort of concerned about that, but I figured it might be one of those things where it’s the person’s fault not the product. Sure enough it was. The hook fits, yea you have to push it in there with a slight bit of force, but it definitely does fit. What those people don’t realize is that by design the hooks are like that to keep a firm hold onto the tray itself. I found it funny how mad people were about that when really it’s very very simple to make it work. Nice product sticks well, seems sturdy.

Good product, lousy instructions

This is a good product with terrible instructions. I’ve used this adhesive strip before so I know how to install the basket & how to remove the strip. To get a snug fit position one of the basket's vertical wires in the middle of one of the horizontal bars then press down hard until you hear it snap into place, it’s now snug & will not tip over. To remove the adhesive strip I used a putty knife & wiggled it underneath the strip until I had loosened & lifted enough of it to get a good grip & pull the rest off. Mine is installed on a ceramic tile back splash not in the sink so this method did not damage the tile, can't say what it would do to stainless steel. I'm a 72 y/o woman with arthritis, if I can get the adhesive off anyone can.

Works well, but very difficult to remove!

Perspective: Ive had this caddy for 3 years and it has suited me well. Over time the hooks that hold the caddy in place loosened and the caddy would occasionally fall off the side of the sink wall. Not a huge deal, just a small inconvenience. Over time it started to happen more often because the plastic hooks completely lost their grip so I decided to replace it. Well it literally took me 3 days to get it off of the side of my sink. Using different tools to jimmy it off because the adhesive is sooo strong (which is a good thing, until you are looking to remove it). It took a razor blade and several bouts of goo gone to get the whole thing off as well as the leftover adhesive. The fact that it lasted for 3 years is a testament that it is a good product, but it lost several stars for the drama and pain and suffering it took to remove. I wont be buying another one.
