Die Künstler Efrat Natan und Nahum Tevet (*1947 und 1946) verbindet eine lange Künstlerfreundschaft. Beide begannen ihre Karrieren in den 1970er-Jahren in Israel und sind heute wichtige Figuren der dortigen Kunstlandschaft. Während Natan sich in einer poetischen Formensprache mit ihrer Kindheit im Kibbuz auseinandersetzt, entwickelt Tevet monumentale Rauminstallationen, die Erfahrungen von Raum, Begrenzung, Farbe und Form untersuchen.Das Museum Villa Stuck zeigt als erste Institution beide Künstler in einer Gegenüberstellung. In der Ausstellung und im Katalog werden Frühwerke und Dokumente von gemeinsamen Aktionen zusammen mit späteren Arbeiten Natans und Tevets präsentiert. Profunde Essays und ein Gespräch der Kuratorin Verena Hein mit den beiden Künstlern geben einen tiefgehenden Einblick in deren Œuvres.
