The first volume offers all six sonatinas op.36 by Muzio Clementi, selected sonatinas of opuses 55 and 20 by Friedrich Kuhlau and two sonatinas op.20 by Jan Ladislav Dusik. Technical and especially formal arrangement of each sonatina, as well as difficulty resulting from it, is growing with every higher number in each opus. Rondo by Dusik, named La Matinee, has been placed at the end of this volume.
