Author Bio:

Porter Halyburton is a native of North Carolina and a graduate of Davidson College, the University of Georgia, and the U.S. Naval War College. He served more than 20 years as a naval officer and naval aviator, including seven and a half years as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam. He later taught as the U.S. Naval War College, from which he is now Professor of Strategy Emeritus. He is the author of Reflections on Captivity: A Tapestry of Stories by a Vietnam War POW, and is an active writer, speaker, world traveler, potter, and woodworker.
