L'aérodynamisme et la légèreté ne suffisent pas à gagner des courses : seule la vitesse compte. Pour atteindre cette vitesse, il faut un équilibre parfait entre aérodynamisme, légèreté, rigidité et souplesse. Grâce à des simulations de course basées sur des données réelles, notre équipe Ride Science sait que le Tarmac SL8 est le vélo de course le plus rapide jamais conçu sur les parcours les plus exigeants : 16,6 secondes plus rapide sur 40 km, 128 secondes plus rapide sur le Milan San Remo et 20 secondes plus rapide sur la mythique ascension du Tourmalet.

Le Tarmac SL8 Expert est désormais équipé du nouveau groupe SRAM Force AXS, pour un poids réduit, un freinage sans effort et des changements de vitesse plus rapides et plus précis.

L'AÉRODYNAMISME À CHAQUE NIVEAU : Nous optimisons l'aérodynamisme là où il est essentiel, à l'avant du vélo, et pas seulement là où il est esthétique. Nous avons ainsi créé notre vélo de route le plus aérodynamique à ce jour. Oui, il est plus aérodynamique que le Venge. L'aérodynamisme est optimisé pour un gain maximal grâce au nouveau profil avant du Tarmac, le Speed Sniffer. En reculant le pivot de fourche (qui détermine la largeur du tube de direction), le bord d'attaque de ce dernier est beaucoup plus fin, ce qui réduit considérablement la traînée. Grâce aux nouvelles règles UCI, le Tarmac SL8 est équipé de la tige de selle la plus fine et la plus aérodynamique que nous ayons jamais conçue. L'air, même le plus turbulent, s'écoule ainsi plus efficacement autour des jambes. La victoire a un goût exquis, n'est-ce pas ?

POIDS MINIMAL, AÉRODYNAMISME MAXIMUM : Le Tarmac SL8 a bénéficié des enseignements tirés de l'Aethos pour être facilement assemblé au poids minimum UCI tout en offrant une configuration aérodynamique complète. L'équipe a ainsi réalisé un cadre S-Works d'un poids plume de 685 grammes, soit 15 % plus léger que le Tarmac SL7 et plus léger que tous les autres vélos du World Tour*. La légèreté étant une priorité absolue pour le tube diagonal, le tube de selle et l'arrière du vélo, les leçons de l'Aethos ont été mises en pratique. La forme du cadre répartit la charge avec une telle efficacité que l'ajout de couches de carbone supplémentaires devient superflu. *Sauf, bien sûr, si l'on considère la course de Kasper Asgreen sur notre cadre Aethos de 585 grammes lors d'une étape du Tour.

UNE VITESSE FOLLE, UN CONFORT EXCEPTIONNEL : Grâce à un gain considérable en rigidité par rapport au poids (33 % de plus que le SL7), le Tarmac SL8 repousse les limites de la maniabilité légendaire, de la réactivité agressive et de la géométrie éprouvée en Championnat du Monde. Plus rigide au niveau des pédales, plus précis au guidon, il offre un confort de selle inégalé, établissant ainsi une nouvelle référence en matière de confort pour les vélos de course. Grâce à notre technologie Rider-First Engineering, chaque cycliste, quelle que soit sa taille, bénéficie d’une qualité de conduite et d’une maniabilité exceptionnelles. En selle, le Tarmac SL8 offre 6 % de confort supplémentaire, absorbant les irrégularités de la route avec une souplesse unique dans l’univers exigeant des vélos de course. La géométrie éprouvée du Tarmac et le dégagement de pneu de 32 mm sont identiques à ceux du SL7, garantissant une adaptation facile et la possibilité d’utiliser des pneus plus volumineux si nécessaire.

So I will say I enjoyed the story, for sure had its moments where it dragged but it was a great story. I really liked that omegas picked their alphas/make the pack. Normally the Alphas make it and the omega fits in with them which is great but I enjoyed this new version where all the power basically went to the omega. It was a nice change of pace. I can admit some of the weird bedroom stuff with her being pregnant was odd, it’s really not hard to do stuff when pregnant (I know I’ve had two and it’s normal and even encouraged at the end especially if you want the baby out). But I like the story as a whole and will read the second, I do hope the next one isn’t dragged bc it stopped being action or tense after she met her alphas and I don’t think it was brought up or properly done when they tried to do it. More sweet after she left.

I’m a little disappointed.

I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol
