This Macro lens has a lens construction of 16 elements in 11 groups, featuring 3 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements and 1 aspherical element. The lenses are strategically arranged for optimum performance, ensuring optical aberrations are significantly reduced and images are consistently vibrant, clear and sharp across the frame. The elements are coated with Nikon’s own Nano Crystal coat and ARNEO coat to prevent ghosting and flare when working with bright light sources/backlit situations.

The internal focus system drives a whisper-quiet Auto Focus that is fluent with stable aperture control. In Manual Focus you can take full control and adjust the focus throw to your own style. Focus breathing is all but eliminated so you can shift focus without affecting the shot’s angle of view.
