About Suntory Toki Japanese Whisky

Toki Japanese Whisky by Suntory is excellent for you if you're stepping into Japanese whiskies, or looking for a go to bottle to begin mixing up some cocktails featuring Japanese whiskey.

Tasting Notes

The whisky has been described as light, citrusy, sweet, with a subtle finishing spice

Suggested Serves

  • First, enjoy the spirits in a simple Highball with soda. Garnish with an orange peel or grapefruit. Hopefully you'll find this amplifies whisky so you can experience its flavors.
  • Eager to experiment? The Toki Berra cocktail recipe over on Punch calls for mixing up Suntory Toki Whisky with (ready for this?) creamy coconut-matcha yogurt. If you try this, email us at [email protected] with your review please!

Selected as a recommended spirit to pair with Shaker & Spoon’s Daijoubu 2 Box.

Recommended by: Caer Maiko & Sharon Yeung

“Suntory’s Toki is probably the best-known Japanese whisky in the US and for good reason. This blend includes Chita grain (a grain from the Chita Peninsula known for its smoothness, versatility, and sweetness) and House of Suntory’s famous Hakushu malt (which is verdant, crisp, and smokey), so it's automatically hard to beat. It has subtle notes of coconut, peppermint, ginger, and vanilla, which all blend beautifully in drinks.”

750ml & 86 Proof

Enjoyable

It is a good read. I enjoy the leafing characters. The plot was well done. But it could use a bit of better editing. There were several mistakes.

as an addition to the Scottish Ladies Detective agency, a new lady sleuth
Format: Kindle
What a wonderful mystery, a grand heroine who is polishing her detective skills. All the pomp of the gentile classes at their play. Murders, theft, and dogs in the highlands, what could be better? Recommend

Promising start to new mystery series.
Format: Kindle
Lady Persephone "Poppy" Proudfoot attends a house party at an estate, meets some American actors, and tries to solve the murder of a stranger to the village whose body is discovered by the lake. The first in a series, this book is a quick read with a plot that moves along, although some of the large cast of characters seem superfluous (e.g., the American visitors). Poppy is a widow, a law-school graduate (in the 1920s!), and ran a hospital for wounded soldiers during WW1, so an interesting character to read about. A promising beginning to the series and I look forward to the next book. Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the eARC.

Love love love this stuff! You do have to spread it out well to not go right through it but it doesn’t take more than a thin layer to protect you all day!!
