Basics: zones 4-8, 6-12" x 12-18", morning sun to dappled sun to part shade, starry while flower spike over medium green foliage with dark red veining in mid to late spring, acidic rich to average fertility soils, consistent moisture, but well-drained, does have some drought tolerance in that it will sulk (but not die) if too dry and also resents "winter wet".

Common names: Foamflower and False Mitrewort are the common names for Tiarella cordifolia. 'Running Tapestry' is a cultivated selection developed from a spontaneous occurrence within a natural population of the straight species.

Family: Saxifragaceae

Origin/Distribution: 'Running Tapestry' was discovered by Jim Plyler of Natural Landscaping Nursery in West Grove, PA. The species is native from Nova Scotia down the Appalachian spine to Alabama and west to Minnesota.

Habitat: deciduous woodland understory, bottomlands with good drainage

More: The 'Running' in the name means spreading. This is a stoloniferous form of Tiarella (versus a clumping form) and was developed to be a beautiful woodland ground cover, but is also lovely in a textured planting with the likes of Carex albicans, Carex plantaginea, Phlox stolonoifera, Adiantum pedatum, Epimediums, and so on. It will take awhile to get going. The flowers are visited by pollinators for early season forage. Good for the lower part of a rock garden where there is a bit more moisture.

Great for Sublimation!
I’m a bit new to sublimation and was worried about having dull colors, but this ink is doing wonders! The quality is great, I can adjust the amount on the printer and get the exact, rich, vibrant colors I want. (I found some recommended settings for brightness, contrast, etc… and then tweak the cyan, magenta, and yellow to the desired amount.) I definitely recommend getting this ink! It’s so easy to refill the printer (I have an Eco tank 15000). The cost is not bad at all. I’ve only washed some of the items one time and so far the ink has remained unchanged. Seems like a winner to me!

Vibrant colors, great traction on fabric, and easy cleanup
This sublimation ink has been a great find. The colors are vibrant and transfer beautifully to fabrics, mugs, and phone cases. The traction on the material is excellent—designs don’t smudge or fade easily after pressing. I also appreciate how clean it is to work with. Refilling my Epson EcoTank printer was simple, and there were no messy drips or stains. Cleanup of tools and surfaces was quick with just a damp cloth. For beginners or experienced crafters, this ink delivers consistent, professional-looking results every time.
