This design, named “Fractal,” is inspired by natural phenomena such as billowing summer clouds and delicate snowflakes. It expresses the idea of fractal structures -patterns in which the same form repeats at varying scales- through embroidery on 100% cotton fabric. The playful yet subtly rhythmic pattern adds a charming, lively touch.

The cotton fabric is dyed without the use of mechanical pressure. Instead, it is carefully steamed and dyed over time in a washer vat. Most of the process is done by hand, and the fabric is then dried naturally, under the sun and by the strong and dry winds unique to the Enshū region of Shizuoka.

The cushion cover is lined with smooth polyester fabric, making it easy to insert or remove the cushion filling.

It is made from exquisite original woven textile by a Japanese brand kijinokanosei, developed in collaboration with skilled artisans in Japanese textile mills.
