Madrona Bowl Blank Md-46 2.9" x 5" x 5" 1.7 lbs. This is a small half-log bowl blank of Pacific Madrone wood. The wood from this tree has a beautiful ivory and peach color with very fine grain. The peach color is concentrated in several mineralization streaks that will show up well in a finished bowl. The grain is long and straight with no visible knots. This is a classic half-log blank, split through the center of the log. The pith lies at the cut face. I've sealed this blank well with Anchor seal but cracks do sometimes form while drying. If any appear, I recommend reinforcing and filling the cracks with CA glue prior to turning. The bark is complete and well-attached, so you have the option of turning either a conventional bowl or a "barky" natural-edge bowl. If you want a full bark edge on the natural rim, you will need to secure the bark with CA glue before and possibly during turning. This is a GREEN to partially air-dried bowl blank, meaning that it still retains a lot of its original moisture from when it was a living tree. It has been well-sealed with Anchor Seal and is in the process of slowly drying. It was measured at 14% moisture content in June 2023. This is a nice, solid bowl blank. I do not see any flaws or areas of concern. About the Tree This Madrona tree was blown down during a snowstorm that hit San Juan Island in December 2022. It lived on the west side of the island, near Lime Kiln State Park, a famous orca watching location. |

I’ve tried so many moisturizers that either felt greasy, heavy, or just sat on top of my skin, but this La Roche-Posay moisturizer honestly surprised me. It’s super lightweight, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated without feeling oily. My face feels smooth and refreshed after using it instead of sticky or coated. It layers really well and doesn’t make my skin feel overloaded. Definitely one of the best moisturizers I’ve used so far.

Good price

Most Amazon basics items are of decent quality and this is no exception.
Nothing fancy just a decent hand soap with typical viscosity that will work in just about any dispenser including automatic dispensers.
Most importantly it does a good job cleaning the hands without leaving your hands all sticky and gooey after washing. Yeah. That really is a thing. I've used hand soaps that after rinsing and drying your left with "gheco hands" like you can pick up a penny with your knuckle.
No chemical or overpowering odor.
One odd thing. The original order came in a box that looked like the Amazon loader threw it into the back of the van from about 50 feet away .... The bottles cap was destroyed and the soap had leaked into the box. Amazon quickly replaced the item with a new bottle no charge and didn't expect me to return the damaged bottle of course. Thing is the second box came in the same condition. Looked like the punter for the Ravens drop kicked it from the 30 into the back of the truck. Luckily the bottle was undamaged this time.

Convenient refill that lasts a long time

I bought this hand soap refill to save money and reduce plastic waste, and overall I’ve been very pleased with it. The soap has a pleasant scent that isn’t too strong, and it leaves my hands feeling clean without making them feel dry afterward. I also like how easy it is to refill existing dispensers instead of constantly buying new bottles. The large refill size lasts much longer than expected, which is convenient for a busy household. However, pouring the soap into smaller dispensers can be a little messy if you’re not careful. The packaging is somewhat bulky as well. Overall, it’s an economical and practical option that works very well for everyday hand washing.
