The Vintage Hot Tele set is designed to provide a clean and transparent tone that can cut through any mix, allowing you to hear the nuances in your playing. The pickups are all hand-wound to '50s specs by expert craftsmen, and the USA-made Alnico 5 magnets offer tonal balance and output, while the compensated bridge ensures even volume across all pickups.
Fralin's "Sectioning" technique for hand-winding the pickups creates a unique and dynamic tone that sets the Vintage Hot Tele set apart from the others. The fiberboard bobbins are hand-built and the set is backed by a 10-year warranty on manufacturing defects.
The neck pickup has a reading of 7.6K with a counter-clockwise coil direction, while the bridge pickup has a reading of 6.8K with a clockwise coil direction providing clean sound with lots of Fender sparkle and twang. The pickups use USA-made 42/43 plain enamel wire, and a recommended pot value of 250K and cap value of 0.02mfd delivers an era-authentic sound with modern output.
