ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
In this 14 hours workshop, we will create a Holi artwork inspired by the famed Seasons artwork by Sh.Bijay Parida. Workshop would be conducted online LIVE on Zoom.
The format is suitable for people with varied skill levels. Each individual is assisted and attended to personally. The sessions are No Rush and we want everyone to enjoy the process of learning. The environment and peers are supportive. Our sessions are interactive and we encourage you to ask your doubts without judgement.
Workshop is moderated in English and Hindi both by Vinati Bhatt
ABOUT THE THEME
The full painting conceptualizes six seasons in Pattachitra style using Radha and Krishna as the central characters.
However, the colour scheme used here is a mix of black and faded brown –red, distinctive from the conventional colours used in Pattachitra paintings. The painting has six equally divided units arranged in two rows, each unit depicting a season.
The last frame is the depiction of Vasanta, the king of all seasons. Here we see the celebration of Holi with colours and water. Krishna is seen playing Holi with his gopis and the target is his beloved Radha.
And that is what we learn in this Holi special workshop.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
We work with Parida Ji's disciple Sh. Rabinder Bahera ji, who himself is a National awardee artist.
MATERIALS
Artist would work on tussar fabric with mineral colors. Participants are free to work on paper/ fabric/ canvas as per their convenience and material availability.
