Details

A near contemporary and rival of Haydn, Leopold Hofmann was held in the highest regard in his native Vienna where he served as Kapellmeister at St Stephens Cathedral, a position to which Mozart might have succeeded had he lived. During the 1760s and early 1770s, the years of his greatest fame and productivity, Hofmann wrote around sixty concertos including at least eight for the violin. Although no documented accounts of Hofmann performing his own violin concertos are known, there can be little doubt that some of these works were composed for his own use. Hofmann's reputation both as a composer of violin music and as a teacher of the instrument stood high in his own lifetime and it would be surprising in the circumstances if he had written nothing to display his talents as a performer. The composer and critic Johann Adam Hiller admired Hofmann's violin writing, preferring his concertos to those of Dittersdorf and his knowledge of the works suggests that they were well known outside Vienna during the 1760s. The paucity of extant copies, however, suggests that they may not have circulated as widely as the composer's symphonies. The present work was advertised in Supplement I (1766) of the Breitkopf Catalogue and is the earliest of Hofmanns violin concertos that can be dated although perhaps not the first work of its kind that he composed. The solo writing is very fine; technically interesting and full of surprise turns, it bears eloquent testimony to Hofmanns mastery of the instrument and his importance as a composer of concertos. Actually stands up to use
Size: 4.5", Size: 4.5"
I have a pitbull who is a toy destroyer. All those toys, even the ones that say tough enough for destroyers, never hold up. THESE BALLS ARE AWESOME! I bought the 2 pack of the 4.5 inch balls and they lasted a year. I literally am writing this review after ordering a new set. These are well worth the money and Ghost (my dog) loves them. Hes a 103lbs pitbull and his life mission is cuddles and destroying his toys... and these lasting a year of everyday use is friggin awesome. Both toys failed in the same way eventually. They gave out in a circle around the "squeker".

She chewed it up in less than 10 minutes. This is not for heavy chewers but dogs that like to actually play with their toys it would be great!!! I gave it a 3 because it worked for my other dog who likes to play🤘

Perfect for Blind Dogs, Fun and Durable
Size: 2-pack, Style: Duo
My blind dog loves these Chuckit! sniff balls. She can easily sniff them out and plays fetch with them for 20 minutes a day, even running up and down the stairs. The balls are durable, bounce well, and the bacon and peanut butter scent keeps her engaged. I do wish Chuckit! would bring back the version with a tone so we could play fetch outside more easily. Overall, a fantastic toy for dogs that rely on scent and a fun way to keep them active.
