Vox Handwired AC30s - and AC15s, for the matter - are loaded with preamp saturation and clean headroom alike. They aren't very sub-heavy, either - making them easy to blend with a band and let the bassist handle fundamental low end. The user can scale the AC30HW2 to 15 watts of power. Power scaling on this amp doesn't necessarily cut the volume in half, but lowers the output slightly and sags the power section for quicker breakup.
