I got word of an albino white-tailed deer from a friend years ago and failed to photograph it. In 2023, while working in the same region I decided to try my luck and see if I could find another. I knew it was a long shot, as my first attempt was almost a decade prior. To my surprise, I found a yearling albino doe. I spent the better part of 6 months working with this deer, trying to get close enough to capture a unique image. One evening, about five months after I began working with her I had a close encounter with her. I spotted her at a distance and sat down in an adjacent area where she frequently grazed. After about 20 minutes of waiting she cautiously approached within about 15 feet, allowing me to capture this image.
