Rails & Sails is one of the biggest tweaks to the gameplay yet adding, as the title implies, boats!The main crux of gameplay is the same. You will be taking and playing cards of different colours to add trains and boats to the map, with the goal of achieve ticket cards which specify two cities to connect. Some ticket cards even have optional specified routes on them which will earn you bonus points should you stick to them.This time round there are ship cards as well as train cards and you choose not only which to draw but also which to refill adding a tactical element to the card play. Added to this you also choose how many trains and boats to take at the start of the game, allowing you to specialise or go down one route more heavily.The board is double sided increasing the variety with one map of the world and one of the Great Lakes of North America. Each side providing a slightly different gameplay experience. This makes this version of Ticket to Ride hugely tempting with so much content and variety in the box!Players: 2-5
