Dive into the intricate world of regulations with 'Rules,' a captivating panorama of the evolution of guidelines throughout Western history. Authored by historian Lorraine Daston, this compelling narrative examines the multifaceted role of rules in our daily lives. From traffic regulations and culinary protocols to legal laws and societal norms, Daston explores how rules shape our existence, often without us realizing their influence. This essential read reveals how rules have adapted and transformed, capturing their essence from ancient civilizations to the complexities of modern society. Discover three fundamental categories of rules: algorithms that compute and quantify; laws that establish authority; and models that educate. Through a diverse array of examples, Daston illustrates the dynamics of rules—how they can constrict or liberate, become rigid or flexible, and transition from being perceived as burdensome to becoming integral parts of our lives. 'Rules' is not just a historical account; it’s a profound inquiry into the very fabric of human behavior, prompting readers to consider the delicate balance between order and chaos. Perfect for history enthusiasts, students, and anyone intrigued by the structure that governs our everyday interactions, 'Rules' invites you to reflect on the silent powers that guide our decisions and societal functions.Shipping Notes

Pretty good product!!
Color: Dark Brown
This wooden valet tray is exactly what I needed for my new apartment. It surprised me how big it was because I wasn’t expecting it to be that big. Overall, this tray is good and holds all my things!

Effective & Attractive with Wireless Charging
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
This "valet" organizer, which is the first time I've heard that term for a product like this, is nearly perfect. For me, it checks all of the boxes and in a perfect world, I would have opted for a smaller piece with only three compartments for mobile, wallet, and keys.
It's well made and quite attractive, especially the blue (favorite color, so I'm biased). The only feature I'm not a fan of is how the removeable, wireless charging pad was implemented, which sits up on a small lip at a slight incline. However, I'm not complaining one bit as the wireless charging is great, and it's a differentiator that determines the value of the piece. I would have preferred the pad be built into the piece, however the angle of it does make it easy to grab opposed to using your finger(s) to pry it up.
