We really don't know where to start with this one. Yes it's been played, and yes it has some scratches & dings, but wow does this one sound incredible. In a store filled with J-45 enthusiasts that have seen and played countless J-45's, this one is without a doubt, one of the best sounding J-45's (and acoustic guitars) we have ever had in here.

This 2018 Custom Shop J-45 Vintage features a thermally-aged red spruce top, mahogany back and sides, hide glue construction, and traditional hand-scalloped x-bracing. This guitar is equally at home reciprocating a soft touch and delivering articulate, gently plucked notes or bellowing a powerfully-strummed, perfectly balanced throaty soundtrack to the end of the world. The super thin nitro lacquer allows the guitar to breathe and sing as well as deliver a spot-on finish that you would see on a vintage J-45.

While this guitar was well cared-for, it is not a museum piece. It has some scratches, some nicks, and some natural play wear that you would have to expect a guitar that sounds this great to have (anyone who owns this guitar would absolutely want to play it and play it often). It's even had a K&K passive pickup installed so it can be plugged in.

These series of custom shop acoustics that Gibson produced are very highly regarded and some of the best work that has come out of their Montana home.
