Discover the exceptional Kurosaki Kokusen Ei AS Petty 130mm, a premier Japanese kitchen knife designed for precision and performance. This exquisite petty knife features a core of renowned Aogami Super (Blue Super) carbon steel from Hitachi, known for its outstanding sharpness and edge retention, capable of achieving a hardness between 62-65 HRC. The blade is clad in stainless steel for easier maintenance, showcasing a distinctive dark Kurouchi finish and a star-shaped hammer pattern unique to the Senko line. Crafted by master blacksmith Yu Kurosaki, this Japanese kitchen knife boasts a signature concave grind that dramatically reduces thickness behind the edge, resulting in a laser-like, weightless feel perfect for intricate tasks. The 'Ei' designation indicates its K-tip (Kirisuba) profile, creating an exceptionally thin and acute tip ideal for precise slicing and detailed work like peeling, trimming fruits and vegetables, or deveining shrimp. The handle is a masterpiece of minimalist elegance, crafted from a single piece of highly polished ebony wood. Its unique octagonal shape with a subtle taper provides a secure, comfortable grip and a visually striking geometric profile. The deep, rich color and durable nature of the ebony, combined with the seamless construction from a single block, highlight the natural beauty and grain of the wood. This Japanese kitchen knife is part of the Kokusen line, the Aogami Super alternative to the popular Senko series, offering carbon steel enthusiasts top-tier performance with the famous Kurosaki Kireaji (cutting feel). With a blade length of 130mm (cutting edge 134mm), height of 29mm, and weight of approximately 73g, it's perfectly balanced for utility tasks. The thin spine measurements (1.8mm at heel, 1.7mm mid, 1.2mm at tip) contribute to its exceptional cutting performance. Ideal for professional chefs and enthusiasts seeking a high-performance, characterful Japanese kitchen knife with excellent fit and finish. Experience the blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics that makes this Kurosaki Kokusen Ei AS Petty a standout addition to any culinary toolkit.Shipping Notes

It’s much more rigid than you might think.
The brackets did not fit the range of diameters that it said it would.
Is pretty doofus when you lay it down backwards.
It is however, more rigid than you might think. It works for me.
I like it. Of course I can change things.
I like the exterior fabric and I like the vinyl undercoating. I suspect it’s going to be waterproof as well.
Now that I know, I’m not going to lay it down.
I’m going to order a second one for my wifes quad, which is even narrower than the minimum they call out. 39.4”.

Great customer service
Stong headwind caused front straps to pop off and broke/bent frame. They replaced frame tubes with no hassle! Very impressed!

As shown
Nice kit. Simple to assemble, simply packed, good weight for the metal and the shade cloth. Actual width between attachment points is 44 inches. Tubing goes together with those push button things like on aluminum table legs. Priced commensurate with quality.

Very ridged!
I put this on my can am outlander 850 and it was not a hard job to install it.
Shade cloth is nice and so far holding up good to what I put it through.
Tubing has the push buttons so putting it all together is pretty easy.
I had to make some clips myself to get the install right but it was no big deal.
5 stars!!
