Toro® ZMaster 8000 Series Commercial Zero Turn

The Toro Z Master 8000 Series is built for commercial operators, estate properties, municipalities, and high-end property maintenance teams that need a clean, manicured finish with the added advantage of direct collection.

Unlike Toro’s mid-mount Z Master models, the 8000 Series features an out-front cutting deck, giving operators improved visibility, better access under trees and around obstacles, and easier maneuverability in tighter areas. Toro highlights the out-front deck design as a key feature that allows the mower to reach spaces where traditional zero turns may not get to as easily.

The Z Master 8000 Series is designed around Toro’s Direct Collect Z system. A powerful blower moves a high volume of clippings into the integrated hopper, while the rear-discharge deck allows operators to trim on either side and keep flower beds, sidewalks, and walkways cleaner. Toro notes that the rear-discharge deck helps keep clipping-sensitive areas cleaner, while the high-capacity collection system helps operators mow longer between stops.

Across the lineup, the 8000 Series is available with 42-inch and 48-inch deck options, depending on model. Current models include a 42" deck with a 25 HP Kohler® Command Pro 725cc engine, as well as 48" deck models with Kohler® Command Pro EFI 747cc engines in 23 HP and 26.5 HP configurations.

The 8000 Series is also built with commercial-quality cutting components. Toro lists the deck construction as welded 7/10-gauge steel, with a deep 4-5/8" deck design that helps handle taller grass and create strong vacuum for a clean, refined cut. The mower also uses a 9.5-bushel hopper, giving operators more time mowing and less time emptying.

For added flexibility, the 8000 Series includes Toro’s fill-reduction system, allowing operators to switch from full bagging to a blend of 75% mulching and 25% bagging. That makes it easier to manage clipping volume, extend time between hopper dumps, and adapt to different turf conditions throughout the season.

Drive performance is handled by a commercial hydro drive system with tandem pumps and wheel motors on current models, giving operators precise control and smooth maneuverability. With ground speeds up to 7 mph, the Z Master 8000 Series is made for properties where finish quality, collection performance, and productivity all matter.
