     In tribute to the celebrated decades of Maton's most iconic models, in 2025 their team turns to launching the Maton Master Built Series. Design and production of this series is dedicated to historically significant models that stand out; recognized as contributing to the value of the Maton brand - since their inception in 1946.

     Premium woods are used to craft the Maton Master Built Series in low production numbers, by a small select team of tenured builders

     The Maton Master Built Dreadnought is custom built, with Adirondack Spruce top & bracing, over Australian Red Cedar back & sides. Formerly placed in the Cedrela genus species, Australian Red Cedar bears many similarities with Spanish Cedar. Both species are in the Mahogany family, with Australian Red Cedar is sometimes referred to as Indian Mahogany. 

     This combination of tone woods creates a very special slope shouldered dreadnought, especially responsive to flat picking. The Master Built Dreadnought combines Maton's balanced string voicing, with superior volume! Looking to add a canon to your collection?
