Tasting Notes

Appearance

This is the first release of the Brown Brothers Dry Rosé Zero. It shows a vibrant salmon pink colour in the glass—a visual hallmark of fresh, delicate alcohol-free rosé that showcases the quality of fruit from Brown Brothers' King Valley vineyards.

Aroma

The nose is bright with fresh watermelon, ruby grapefruit and citrus notes. Rose petal and red berry aromas along with freshly crushed grapes and a spicy perfume dominate the nose, creating an inviting and complex aromatic profile.

Palate

A dry, refreshing palate that is mouth-watering and moreish. These characters follow through to the palate along with a fruitiness that is balanced by acidity and spritz but with a drier note. The wine has a vibrant strawberry pink hue, giving it a light and delicate appearance. Serve well chilled and enjoy whilst young and vibrant to capture the wine's fresh fruit character and lively nature.

Pairs With

Best served with an ice bucket, sunny days and great friends, the Dry Rosé Zero is the perfect apéritif. An excellent choice with fresh seafood such as Vietnamese prawn skewers or smoked trout blinis with crunchy summer salads, where the wine's crisp acidity complements the delicate flavours. Also perfect with a watermelon and berry fruit plate and lighter cheese like brie, harmonising beautifully with the wine's fresh fruit notes and refreshing finish.

From Someone Who Actually Drinks Japanese Matcha Regularly
Flavor Name: Ceremonial Grade, Size: 1.4 oz (40g), Flavor Name: Ceremonial Grade, Size: 1.4 oz (40g)
After trying a lot of Amazon matcha brands, I honestly think people expecting this to taste super sweet or creamy might be misunderstanding what traditional Japanese matcha is supposed to taste like. This one has more of that genuine, earthy, slightly umami flavor that I usually experience at Japanese matcha cafes. Mine was fresh, smooth, and produced a really delightful latte. It definitely wasn’t “fishy” like some reviews suggested. I also noticed some people complained about bitterness, but using water that’s too hot can ruin almost any matcha. Once I prepared it correctly, the flavor was balanced and clean. For the price, I actually think it’s a pretty solid everyday ceremonial-style matcha.

Ok for the price but not amazing
Flavor Name: Ceremonial Grade, Size: 1.4 oz (40g)
It is fine for the price but has a bit of that unpleasant cheap matcha taste so wont be rebuying. Decent bitterness but not really creamy or sweet in my opinion. The color is good tho so aesthetically it is very pretty.

Best quality for price!
Flavor Name: Ceremonial Grade, Size: 1.4 oz (40g)
One of the best ceremonial matcha powders I’ve ever tried! It blends and froths up so easily and it tastes like true authentic matcha. I was very surprised with the quality and so happy I found a new one.

Cute matcha set, quality for price
Color: Pink, Color: Pink
I was looking for an affordable, quick replacement for my previous matcha set and found this item. For the price point, this is great quality and is such a cute addition to my kitchen. I also like that this includes all the essentials for making a matcha. The chasen does seem to be on the more fragile side though so I'd just be careful and properly take care of it such as blooming it in hot water before any usage and whisk with a very lighthand.

Cute!
Color: Green
Super cute and fun to use, easy to clean, appears to be very well-made. Excellent, especially for such a low price. I will say the only complaint I have is that the spout design could use some work; the end of it doesn't come out far enough so it dribbles a bit when you try to pour. Also, and maybe this is to be expected due to the use of natural materials, but there are a couple of small split pieces/splinters on the chasen (whisk) I had to trim. Otherwise perfect!
