i-gel supraglottic airway
The i-gel supraglottic airway from Intersurgical is used to secure the airways in the operating theatre and in emergency medicine. i-gel is a perfect match for human anatomy. The shape, consistency and contours recreate the pharyngeal, laryngeal and perilaryngeal conditions to allow for optimal sealing. The characteristics of the soft, gel-like material make an inflatable cuff unnecessary, thus reducing the risk of compression trauma.
To facilitate its use, the i-gel is equipped with a guide line for correct positioning. Additionally, the stabiliser facilitates insertion and prevents rotation of the product. The integrated bite block and the epiglottis blocker additionally reduce the risk of airway obstruction.
