To wander the streets of a bankrupt, often lawless, New York City in the early 1970's wearing a tee shirt with PLEASE KILL ME written on it was an act of arch nihilism, and one often recounted in the first reports of Richard Hell filtering into pre-punk UK. Pete Astor, an archly nihilistic teenager himself at the time, was most impressed. The fact that it emerged (after many years) that Hell himself had not worn the garment but had convinced junior band member Richard Lloyd to do so, actually fitted very well with Astor's older, wiser, and more knowing self. Here was an artist who could not only embody but also frame the punk urge; just what was needed to make one of the defining records of the era.
Having seeded and developed the essential look and character of punk since his arrival in New York in the late 1960's, Richard Hell and The Voidoids released Blank Generation in 1977. Pete Astor's portmanteau approach uses objective and subjective perspectives to articulate the meanings of the album, combining academic rigour with the reception-based subjectivities that are key to understanding our relationships to popular culture.

It's a great frother - but more for large drinks. Very powerful, even on the low speed. I returned it because I want something to mix my collagen and creamer in my coffee. The first time I turned it on it shot half the coffee out of the cup - very powerful. It has a great look, sleek and fits easy in the hand - but for what I needed, two powerful. It would have been nice to have a fully adjustable speed wand like my replaceable battery powered frother.

2 speeds, easy to change back and forth to different speeds with one click , easily blends 1/4 cup protein powder in 12 oz milk on low speed. Easy to clean: Stick blending wand in tall glass with warm water + dish soap, turn on low speed to clean easily (don’t stick the part that holds the battery in glass). Also of note, chosen by Americas Test Kitchen as best milk frother but I use it to make protein shakes.

Works great on bullet coffee!!

I am really pleased with this frother! Frothers I have used in the past didn’t mix my decaf coffee, 2% milk, and MCT oil as thoroughly as I like (oil and coffee separated). This frother blends everything AND I get a nice layer of frothy milk on top!!! Charge lasts a long and the froth can be submerged all the way up to the button!!!

Bought this for homemade coffee brewing, just to spice things up. But as I go ahead to heat up my new shiny stainless steel milk frother cup in the microwave, whoopdy doo. Ya can’t put stainless in the microwave! Regardless, it’s still a straightforward frother cup to handle, making it a great dollar investment for upgrading my home cafe setup.
