Starting out with a nyatoh body, this Ibanez features extra-deep cutaways and contours to allow comfortable access to higher registers. The nyatoh body, in addition to its mobility and speed, produces a rich mid-low-end that contributes to its metal-leaning design. This body is matched with an elongated roasted maple neck. An additional inch on this neck extends the guitar's scale length to a slightly longer 26.5", making it longer than a standard scale yet not overly long. The neck's Wizard III profile, a classic Ibanez feature, keeps this longer neck speedy and playable alongside a macassar ebony fingerboard.
