ACTICOAT™ FLEX 3

The antimicrobial ACTICOAT™ FLEX 3 from Smith & Nephew offers a long-lasting effect of up to three days. The dressing permanently releases high doses of silver, which reduces the germ load and prevents local infections and the formation of a biofilm.

Due to its elasticity, ACTICOAT can be optimally adapted to the wound and can also be used as a tamponade. In addition, the open-mesh structure allows the exudate to drain off. Indications for the use of the silver wound dressing are, for example, burns, surgical wounds or decubital ulcers.

Great info TINY BOOK
Format: Paperback
There’s small, and then there’s this book. It’s true that this is a pocket size book. Look at the dimensions and then imagine 6pt font. Giving it four stars because info is great- succinct, useful, and up to date! But taking away one star because it should come with a magnifying lens.

Army Medic Emergency Reference
Format: Paperback
Great book for a field medic for emergency conditions. It fits nicely in my aid bag. The only issue I had with the actual book is it was bent on arrival

Not helpful for new grad
Just random facts No abdominal pain test panel/plan for example. An emed book should have basic guidelines for most common chief complaints

In paper, excellent, as Kindle book, useless
I've used this book, in early editions, in paper (remember that?), for years. Excellent pocket manual. But as a Kindle book, it's useless, unless you have Superman's microscopic vision.
