Tasting Notes
Bold and decadent on the nose, with notes of praline, nutmeg and white pepper. On the palate enjoy light vanilla cream, caramelized sugar and the unmistakable spice of rye. The finish is long, rich, and well-balanced.

Uncle Nearest is a Tennessee whiskey created to honor an extraordinarily influential distillers, whose name and role in changing the course of spirits history was, until recently, virtually unknown.
Nathan "Nearest" Green was the first Black master distiller on record in the country, and he also happened to be the man who taught a teenage Jack Daniels the whiskey distilling trade. Only in the last decade has his story been brought back out into the light, and has he been given his rightful place in the whiskey world.
The Uncle Nearest line of whiskeys was created to pay tribute to this all-but forgotten distiller, and to do justice to his legacy by crafting a truly premium Tennessee Whiskey that stands among the best.
