As A.W. Renall’s 1902 obituary noted: “For a quarter of a century he was the most notable personage in Masterton; and on the public platform swayed people as no other man could move them”. Alfred Renall, an early settler in the Hutt Valley and then in the Wairarapa, was a successful miller, father of 16 children and at various times a Provincial Council member, elected to the first Parliament, he was also a Masterton borough councillor and twice the mayor as well as a leading figure in the Small Farms Association and subsequent Masterton Trust Lands Trust. As his friend Alexander Hogg M.P. said: “An energetic and industrious settler, a public man, fearless and outspoken for over a half century he made his influence felt in the wider Wellington province”. Fearless and Outspoken is the story of Alfred W. Renall from his birth in Heybridge, Essex, England in 1813 to his and his family’s voyage to Port Nicholson aboard the Martha Ridgway late in 1840, followed by his rich, varied and sometimes controversial life during the next six decades. It provides a fascinating portrait of one pioneer and how he and his family succeeded in a very different land at the bottom of the world.

Good quality.

Love these. Charge quickly. Love the red light while charging that changes to white when it is full. Love the rack and brush for cleaning that comes with it. Works as it should.

Very nice grinders
Color: White&Black, Color: White&Black
Still going strong after six months of use. The product is sturdy and easy to hold, the adjustable grinding coarseness is an added bonus and make the grinders easy to use. If you are looking for cordless rechargeable grinders this is the best value for your money. The base is a little hard to clean but a quick brush removes all of the excess grinds. They stay fully charged on the stand and I have never had an issue with them being out of battery.

A small upgrade that transformed my kitchen: practical, elegant, and surprisingly satisfying
Color: Black
I bought these grinders while reorganizing my kitchen and realized something simple: I use salt and pepper every single day, but I always had messy, inconvenient containers. I wanted something functional but also nice-looking, so I chose this set somewhat urgently… and it turned out to be a great decision.
From the very first use, I loved them. The one-hand operation makes such a difference, especially when you’re cooking and your other hand is busy. Just press a button and it works effortlessly.
One thing that really surprised me is the adjustable grind settings. I didn’t think I’d use that feature much, but now I actually notice the difference depending on what I’m cooking. The grind is consistent, and it really helps preserve the flavor of the spices.
The charging base is another big plus. Not having to deal with batteries is such a relief, and they charge pretty quickly. I just keep them on the base, and they’re always ready to go.
I also really like the LED light. It might seem like a small detail, but it’s actually very helpful when you want to control exactly how much seasoning you’re adding.
And honestly, they also look great. They add a modern, organized touch to my kitchen, which I appreciate more than I expected.
In the end, I bought them just to get more organized… and they became one of those everyday items you actually enjoy using. I’m really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend them.

Works well
Color: White&Black
Works well. Charge lasts reasonably long. The button placement could be thought out more. Difficult to pick it up with accidentally hitting button. S&P ends up everywhere.
