Boatrocker Brewing has been sneaking away Starward Whisky barrels for the last 11 years and ageing their flagship imperial stout Ramjet! Released every year from Starward Nova barrels after 6 months of ageing. This year Boatrocker release a massive 4 different variants of Starward Whisky aged beers. Ramjet, Banshee, Devil in the details and Nordjet.
Ramjet 2024 features Maris Otter as the malt base underneath 12 more specialty malts. Aged in ex-American oak casks for 12 months that bring coconut and vanilla flavours as well as a hint of red wine thanks to the barrel’s previous life. Can be aged up to 10 year for flavour development and character.
Banshee Barley Wine is a beer made for those who like to cellar as the ageing will enhance the sweet sherry and maderia notes found in this lovely brew.
Devil in the details Ramjet/Banshee blend is as exactly as it sound, a blend of both roasty, flavoursome beers.
Nordjet Salted Licorice Ramjet is made for liquorice lovers! Aged on Nordic Salmiak licorice and natural licorice extracts. This is the only repeat of Ramjet ever made and is super limited in quantities.
