I interviewed the 2nd Mrs. Schult in the early 1990s.  A real cheerful old gal, and she'd have to be.  In all the materials in Lost Highways Archive & Research Library there is only one person whose picture always showed him bristling with explosive, ebullient joy and that was Wilbur Schult.  I wish here was still alive and i could invite them over for barbeque and some uproarious yarns!

I do love the consciously conceived built in rest for the TV.  i used to have dozens of 'portable' 50s television sets on display in our crazy loft in the historic district of Philly.  I sold all but my favorite pair to a fellow who had a beautiful late 40s early 50s styled club.  There were some real gems in that collection, including the mysterious Sylvania Glow TV, and not long after I let them go the club burned to a cinder.  I rent my hair and tore my clothes, or is it tore my hair and rent my clothes?  It was a disaster...

Every print we deem exciting enough to present to the public via our Etsy store or available here at our studio has gone through a number of steps. The first of those is always discovering and falling in love with an obscure image, always an original that we can hold in our hands. That image is speaking to us, sometime screaming “Don’t leave me here. See what I am, what I was, what I can be, what I SHOULD be!”

There is a real sense of excitement involved, and a great many smiles and knowing grins when we make that deal and bring that ancient print, that battered photo, that scrap of ephemera that contains some scrap of genius from an unknown commercial artist home with us, knowing already how we mean to approach its restoration.

There is the heady promise of a further hunt just as real as what drags a weekend fisherman out of bed at 3AM to work a favorite brook as we start our research, looking for that great backstory, and both ready and willing to tumble down as many rabbit holes as are revealed to us to get that story.

Then there is a meticulous digital restoration that is as often as much fun as riding a vintage Moto Guzzi on a winding coastal road. I don’t care if that sounds crazy, it really is like jumping in the saddle! So many choices, so many chances to take to subtly or spectacularly give new life to otherwise permanently obscure images.

This dedication and the ongoing rush of joy in the accomplishment of it, and the opportunity to share the results in our studio and here on Etsy, is the fire of passion that keeps these engines roaring. Good but Installation was a Bit Iffy

90% of the time I use my iPad for school. Originally, I used just a regular screen protector, but it would get dirty with smudges and imprints from my Apple Pencil, and there would be a lot of glare since I'm in a classroom most of the time, which would make it awkward to see what I was writing at times. Plus, the screen protector was too smooth so it would actually be difficult to write legibly. This product makes it a lot easier to write smoother on the iPad. I only just installed it, so I can't say much on the smear protection yet, but I can already see the reduction in glare as well. For $8, getting a pack of two of these with an install kit is a very nice deal imo. My only issue was the installation process, which could've been as much my own fault tbh, but I felt like I aligned the screen protector pretty well with the sticker, however the first time I tried installing it it was way off the center (maybe my case got in the way?). The biggest issue was using the squeegee to pop air bubbles, and this is something they don't mention in neither their instruction guide nor video, but you're supposed to used the velvet red side, not the naked white side: using the white side actually takes the grit off the protector, which is obviously something you don't want on a product that relies on it. Thankfully I have another one in reserve in case this one wears off sooner than expected.
