A new addition to the Pico line from Electro-Harmonix, the Shimmer Cosmic Reverb transports your guitar tone to the depths of space, offering three unique reverb scenes with layered delays, modulation, and synth textures for a world of interdimensional sonic shaping. With the Shimmer, everything from classic plate reverbs to glitchy soundscapes can be achieved without sacrificing valuable pedalboard space. Compact and powerful, the Shimmer does exactly that.

With the Shimmer, you'll have access to three different reverb voices (switchable via the SCENE button). The first is the "Intergalactic" setting, a mode that boasts a classic shimmer effect, delivering polyphonic octaves, modulated delays, and a string synthesis engine to send your tone into the stratosphere. Use the VOICE control to morph the sound, dialing it back to a simple plate reverb or cranking it to create an ethereal choir of shimmering ambience. The second mode, "Off-World," supplies a mellower shimmer inspired by vintage effects, layering spacious textures with enhanced delay modulation and synthesizer elements. The final—and wildest—mode is "Etherdust," a glitch-inspired shimmer featuring randomized time-based modulation and delays, resulting in stutters and granular sparkles that echo into chaotic oblivion.

All of this cosmic tonality can be shaped using the VOICE, BLEND, TIME, and TONE controls, allowing you to adjust the wet/dry mix, decay time, and overall brightness of the effect. Additionally, pressing and holding the SCENE button activates each knob's secondary parameter, providing access to reverb mix, delay time, modulation depth, and modulation rate controls.

To further launch your sound into orbit, press and hold the bypass switch to trigger a momentary infinite reverb effect—your space voyage lasts as long as your foot can hold it. Fine-tune your spacious tone down to the bypass behavior itself, with the Shimmer offering three different bypass modes for both digital and analog applications.
