This thinline cutaway-style guitar is built with a comfortable, ergonomic profile that rests comfortably against a player's body.

The APX600M features a spruce top with locally sourced back, sides, and neck depending on availability, all finished in a natural satin. This wood choice demonstrates Yamaha's commitment to sustainability while minimizing environmental impact. X-style bracing supports this guitar's structure and assists in its unplugged resonance, while achieving a pristine plugged in tone is simple as well, with an onboard pickup system installed. The Yamaha APX600M is equipped with a piezo pickup system and a System 65 preamp, that work together to translate the tones of this guitar faithfully into an amplified setting. A convenient onboard tuner is also installed on the body, minimizing the need for additional gear.

The rosewood fingerboard of this guitar features a 15.75" radius, 22 frets, and an overall scale length of 25", combined with a cutaway for easy access to higher frets. Both the nut and saddle are crafted from Urea to help ensure optimal resonance and sustain, and the bridge is cut from rosewood. The APX600M also features a 1.6875" nut width, and die-cast chrome tuning machines.

Yamaha goes the extra mile in this guitar's production by introducing the Player Port app, available for both iOS and Android devices. This intuitive app transforms the learning experience, offering a wealth of resources at your fingertips, including tips, tricks, articles, videos, and a comprehensive FAQ section.

So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.
