Description

hyakintos jidelni talirHyakinthos was a mortal Spartan prince who charmed the gods with his selfless beauty. Passionately in love with Apollo, the sun god, he spent his days relaxing in the grass, listening to music and competing in friendly sports. One day they decided together to have a friendly discus throwing competition. Apollo threw first and had such power that the discus split the clouds in the sky. Hyakinthos, eager to get the disc back, ran after it to catch it.

Hyakinthos was a mortal Spartan prince who charmed the gods with his selfless beauty. However, as he approached, the disk hit the ground and bounced back, striking Hyakinth's head and mortally wounding him. Apollo paled as he held his dying lover in his arms. He tried to save him with all kinds of herbs and even tried to give him ambrosia - the food of the Olympian gods - to heal Hyacinth's wound, but it was in vain. He could no longer heal the wound caused by fate. Apollo wept over Hyacinth's death and wished to become mortal so he could join the Spartan boy in the afterlife. But since this was impossible due to his immortality, he promised to remember him forever. Therefore, he turned Hyacinth's spilled blood into a flower - Hyacinth, so that he could be admired forever for his undying beauty. The hyacinth flower held by Apollo's hand symbolizes their last moment in each other's arms. In the upside-down view, the flower and the stem with the flourishing hand take on the impression of a Spartan helmet and spear, which shows the noble origin of the prince. At first glance, we also recognize something here that looks like raindrops, but a closer look reveals Apollo's tears. On the left side is then the disk that sits on Hyakinth's head, thus closing the circle of the story of eternal love and the memory of her, despite the pain of great loss. This plate is part of the Metamorphoses Collection. Shop the other styles: Adonis , Phaeton , or Deucalion .

They match the OEM ones!
They are just as good as the OEM caps and fit perfectly. I found if you put a small piece of rubber with adhesive on 3 of the tabs they hold better. I did it on all of them including the oem.

Good buy and good replacement for stock
I can’t keep these on my UTV, so it’s good to find a reasonably priced alternative.

Definitely keeps your hands warm !!
Color: Black
These fit nicely on a H.D. Road King. If you bike has heated grips you can drive in 30 deg F weather with only a thin pair of leather gloves. Update: They kept our hands toasty with the heaters on Level 2 and just wearing a thin pair of leather gloves (for grip) while riding in temps down in the low 30's, high 20's. I would definitely recommend these... the photo in the ad is pretty indicative of how they fit on handlebars. They're really designed for ATV's that have no turn signal lamps on the handlebars. Without modification, they do cover the handlebar mounted turn signals on a Sportster, but not on a Roadking. The draw string that seals the mittens around the handlebar could have a more positive grip to stay closed... we wound up double tying it around bar and that works great. The thing we like most aside from how warm they are (the lining feels great)... is that the cuffs are fairly rigid and don't collapse when you take you hands out (like the photo) which makes it super easy to pull you hands out and put 'em back in again. That's really important at a stop light, but even more important when flying down the road at highway speeds... you just can't afford to be fooling around trying to thread your hands and a coat sleeve back into mittens that are limp and flop down closed when you take you hands out... I hope this help... be safe !!
