The Totally Awesome 80's embraces the vinyl industry during the 1980's where digital began to take the world by storm and audiophiles were shedding their vinyl for CDs. As a result of this trend, gems were let go and have became available to avid vinyl collectors. To capture this music shift, Totally Awesome 80's adds a new trade-in mechanism to the core Vinyl experience where you will now be able to trade unwanted or low quality albums along with magazine cards to acquire higher quality albums that will lead you to more valuable collections.

To increase the complexity, collection may now only be retired if they meet a minimum quality level (two times the length of the collection: 3-, 4-, 5-length). In addition to the six new genres (Dance, Hip-Hop, New Wave, Glam Rock, R&B, Reggae), Remastered and Stereo attributes have been added along with four quality levels.
