Point of View: Special Issues for the Mystery and Thriller WriterMystery and thriller writers are in the business of misdirection, surprising the reader with plot twists, revealing secrets, and creating tension with unanswered questions, all the while playing fair with the reader. Careful management of point of view is key to making it all work. In this OnDemand Webinar, instructor Hallie Ephron discusses the advantages and disadvantages of different viewpoints. Hallie discusses issues like: Whose story is this?

Mystery and thriller writers are in the business of misdirection, surprising the reader with plot twists, revealing secrets, and creating tension with unanswered questions, all the while playing fair with the reader. Careful management of point of view is key to making it all work. In this OnDemand Webinar, instructor Hallie Ephron discusses the advantages and disadvantages of different viewpoints. Hallie discusses issues like: Whose story is this? First person or third? Single versus multiple points of view? What about omniscience? How to handle narrator-to-narrator viewpoint shifts? Can I shift from near to far? Does it matter if the viewpoint hops from head to head? How deepen viewpoint. How does POV relate to story (the sequence of events that actually took place) and plot (the order in which it's revealed to the reader)?

New York Times bestselling author Hallie Ephron, Edgar Award finalist and five-time finalist for the Mary Higgins Clark Award, writes books she hopes readers can’t put down. Her newest suspense novel is Careful What You Wish For (August, 2019). Hallie teaches writing at workshops and writing conferences across the country and abroad. A REVISED AND EXPANDED EDITION of her Writing and Selling Your Mystery Novel (Writers Digest Books), is widely available. It was nominated for Edgar and Anthony awards. Lee Child called it “the best how-to guide I have ever seen — I just wish I could have read it twenty years ago.” An award-winning crime fiction book reviewer, Hallie wrote an ON CRIME column for the Boston Globe for more than ten years. HallieEphron.com

A very good study book
Format: Paperback
A very good study book for NCLEX. It is to the point making it easy to understand. I used it in addition to Mark K notes and audio and passed my NCLEX in the first try, and i did only minimum questions. I never used anything else to study.
